In 2022, the Hessisches Landesmuseum Darmstadt received 121 prints by mainly English and American artists from around 1900 from the Kleinstück Collection.

The "Portrait with Daffodils", created in 1905, can be found in the art collection of Sigmund Walde (1877-1961), who was persecuted as a Jew, in July 1939.

From 2021 to 2023, a collection of around 1400 books, prints and drawings from the former WELLA company museum was examined in a two-year provenance research project.

Since October 2023, the paintings and drawings in the Neess Collection at the Museum Wiesbaden have been examined as part of a two-year project.

The Central Office for Provenance Research Hesse initiates and supports provenance research projects focusing on individual collections in the Hessian State Museums.

The Hesse State Museum Darmstadt acquired two drawings by Jakob Fürchtegott Dielmann at an auction. According to the auction catalog, the consignor of the objects is "Frl. M.".

On Provenance Research Day, 14 April 2021, a current example of provenance research is presented.
